Croagh Patrick

I  climbed Ireland's most sacred mountain this past Saturday.  It is called Croagh Patrick and is located in County Mayo.  It is believed that St. Patrick climbed the mountain and fasted for forty days so it is an important location for pilgrims.  The history of worship at the mountain however dates back to 3000 BC according to the historian in the visitor center.   I had the unusual experience of hiking it when snow was at elevation and a snowstorm hit while I was at the top.  Here are a couple photographs.
