Two Views of Mount Brandon

Last weekend I went to photograph on the Dingle Peninsula.  While there I decided to climb Mount Brandon which is named after St. Brendan the Navigator.  Legend states he climbed to the top of this mountain to view his route to the New World before he made his voyage.  Unfortunately the weather was a real issue as it got worse the higher I got.  The first image is taken during my climb, which was unsuccessful.  I luckily ran into a local hiking group who persuaded me to turn around as the wind and visibility were too dangerous especially since I was unfamiliar with the mountain.  The second photograph is from Conor Pass across the valley the next day.  Of course the weather improved the day I was leaving.
